The Soil Resources (SR) group is part of ETH USYS and situated within the Institute of Terrestrial Ecosystems (ITES). Our group's research focuses on the environmental controls that drive soil development and biogeochemical cycles in understudied regions and areas that are heavily affected by Global Change. Our strengths are to conduct complex field work on soils in often challenging environments (Arctic, Tropics, Alpine) and connect it to integrated, interdisciplinary experiments on plant-soil-microbial interactions and how they shape biogeochemical cycles at the landscape scale through time.
