Information
I am currently a PhD student funded by TropSOC project within DFG Emmy Noether programme at the University of Augsburg, Germany. The main goal of my research project is to assess the effects erosion coupled with geochemistry have on biomass production, nutrient and carbon cycle in forest and agroecosystems of tropical Africa. Specifically, during the course of the project I will try to develop an understanding of carbon inputs patterns and release and the effects that change in soil conditions has on plant biomass allocation along different geochemical and geomorphic gradients.
My research Interest include:
- Soil organic carbon dynamics
- Predictive modelling of soils properties
- Remote sensing of the landscape
- Integrated soil fertility management
