Research area
Cédric Deluz is an external PhD student from ETH who has been working with the Soil Resource group in collaboration with the hepia Soils and Substrates Group at HESSO-Geneva since 2020. His interests and skills encompass the study of i) forms of soil organic matter, ii) soil hydrostructural properties, iii) soil sampling methods, and iv) agronomic practices of field crop farmers.
His current thesis project involves investigating the connections between soil organic matter properties and soil hydrostructural properties, and determining how these are influenced by farming practices.
Curriculum Vitae
- Since april 2020 : External PhD candidate in the Soil Resource group at ETH Zurich in partnership with hepia HESSO-Geneva on the impact of agricultural practices on soil quality in western Switzerland
- 2017-2019 Master's degree in biogeoscience at the University of Lausanne and Neuchatel on the role of OM forms in soil vulnerability
- 2014-2017 Bachelor's degree in agronomy at hepia HESSO Geneva on plot-scale composite sampling and minimum detectable change (MDC) in organic carbon content
